Biography

Sierra Slogar is a nature and wildlife photographer based in Ontario, Canada. Drawn to the delicate intricacies of the natural world since childhood, her deep-rooted passion for animals and wild spaces continues to guide and inspire her work.

Through visual storytelling, Sierra uses photography as a catalyst for change, advocating for conservation, promoting coexistence, and encouraging a deeper connection with nature. Her images invite quiet reflection, not only on the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world, but also on our shared responsibility within it. She hopes her work resonates with others in ways that cultivate a lasting sense of environmental responsibility and compassion for all creatures.

Guided by a strong commitment to ethical photography, Sierra prioritizes the well-being of her subjects. She believes patience should always replace intrusion, and that respect must come before the pursuit of any image.

Her work has been featured in National Geographic “Your Shot", Canadian Geographic, Reader's Digest “Our Canada” and “More of Our Canada”, and Canadian Wildlife Magazine, as well as local publications. She holds an Honours Diploma in Photography from Algonquin College, blending technical expertise with an instinct for capturing intimate, thought-provoking moments.
